Lyric Soprano Paige Cutrona , described as ‘Passionate’ and ‘Vocally striking’ by the New York Times for her portrayal of Mimí in La Bohème , enjoys an active career spanning operatic roles, symphonic concerts, solo recitals and oratorio works from Early Music to modern composers.  Most recently Paige sang the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s beloved Don Giovanni (Amore Opera, May 2015) with Maestro Douglas Martin at the helm.  Upcoming are private events featuring French chanson, an all-arias recital and more – check back soon!

 

The 2014/2015 season also included cabaret performances of One for the Road at the Duplex in New York’s Greenwich Village,  Britten’s Ceremony of Carols  with the NYC Master Chorale, the annual holiday staple, A Cousins’ Christmas , and a memorial concert honoring dear friend and musical colleague, John Oldigs, Jr, in  Opera Delaware’s Studios in Wilmington, Delaware.  Other recent concerts include Berlioz’ Les Nuits d'été , the New York premiere of Magnificat by Paul Leavitt, an all-French recital program  featuring the work of Francis Poulenc which Paige performed in New York, New Jersey, and Paris, France.

 

In March 2013, Paige returned to Paris to mark the 50th Anniversary of the death of Francis Poulenc by performing his Gloria and Stabat Mater  with Orchestre Impromptu of Paris.   Paige made her international debut in 2011 performing Paul Leavitt’s acclaimed Requiem  at Eglise St. Sulpice, the largest church in Paris, (the Requiem’s international premiere) with Dr. Thea Kano conducting.  The beautiful Requiem has also taken her to to Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and Paige was honored to sing it in commemoration of the the Ten Year Anniversary of September 11th at St. Paul’s Chapel at Ground Zero, and again in Washington, DC, just steps from Capital Hill, on September 11th, 2011.

 

Favorite roles in opera include Norina in Don Pasquale, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, Pamina in The Magic Flute, La Statue in Pygmalion, Nina in Chérubin.

 

Other recent engagements include Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, John Rutter’s Mass of the Children , Bach’s Magnificat, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms,  and Britten’s The Company of Heaven. Ms. Cutrona has toured the US and Canada with two productions of A Royal Christmas  featuring Andrea Bocelli, Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
